THE TXR STANDARD
North Texas is hard on a roof. Long summers push attic and shingle temperatures to extremes, spring brings hail and straight-line winds, and the occasional winter freeze tests every seal and flashing detail. Arlington sits right in the middle of that weather pattern, between Dallas and Fort Worth, so most homes here see several serious storms over the life of a roof.
That combination is why we recommend an inspection after any significant hail or wind event, and at least once a year even when nothing looks wrong from the ground. Bruised shingles, loose granules and lifted tabs rarely show from the driveway, but they shorten the life of a roof and can turn into leaks months later.
Not every storm means a new roof. After our inspection we tell you whether the roof can be repaired, whether it has reached the point where replacement makes more sense, or whether it simply needs a few preventive fixes to last longer. You receive a written report with photos, so you can see what we saw.
When replacement is the right call, we explain the materials, the scope of work and the timeline in plain language. Most shingle replacements on homes up to about 4,000 square feet are completed in a single day. Metal and single ply roofs usually take two to three days.
We install roofing systems from Owens Corning and GAF, and we are authorized by top American manufacturers to register your warranty. On every replacement we use synthetic underlayment, never felt. We do not install standard 3-tab shingles on new roofs because they do not meet our durability standards; our 3-tab work is limited to repairs on existing 3-tab roofs.
Many Arlington homeowners choose impact resistant shingles, which must meet Class 4 of the UL 2218 standard. Class 4 shingles hold up better to hail and can lower your insurance premium with some carriers. We also install metal and single ply systems where they make sense for the home or building.
After a hailstorm, the first step is a professional inspection. If we find storm damage, our inspection report documents it with photos and measurements you can share with your insurance company. Our team includes specialists certified in insurance claims and estimating, and we can meet with your adjuster on site when an inspection is scheduled.
If your claim has been denied, we can review the denial, perform our own property inspection and gather evidence if we find damage. One thing we will never do is offer to waive or cover your deductible. It is against Texas law, and a contractor who offers it is cutting corners somewhere else.
Every roof replacement is covered by our RoofAssure program. You get one assigned project manager from start to finish, a 3-year workmanship warranty, and a follow-up inspection about 120 days after completion to confirm everything is performing the way it should.
