How we replace a roof
Every replacement follows the same careful process, whether it is a small ranch home or a large two-story.

- Permit check, and permits pulled where your city requires them
- Tear-off to the deck and replacement of any damaged decking
- Synthetic underlayment, flashing, ventilation and new shingles

How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential shingle replacements on homes up to about 4,000 square feet are completed in one day. Metal roofs usually take two to three days depending on the material and accessories, and single ply roofs also usually take two to three days. Weather can shift the schedule, and your project manager keeps you informed.
Choosing materials
Many Arlington homeowners choose architectural asphalt shingles for their balance of durability, appearance and value. Impact resistant shingles rated Class 4 under UL 2218 hold up better to hail and may reduce insurance premiums with some carriers. Metal roofing offers even higher impact resistance, although hail can still dent panels and wear the coating over time.
We do not install standard 3-tab shingles on new roofs. They do not meet the durability standards we need to offer the warranties we stand behind.
Warranties that stay valid
Manufacturer warranties protect the materials, and our 3-year workmanship warranty covers the installation. We register your warranty with the manufacturer and make sure the installation meets the requirements to keep it valid. Keep in mind that adding solar or other rooftop systems later can affect warranty coverage, so call us first.
Paying for a new roof
We usually request a 25% to 50% deposit to schedule your project. Homeowners paying out of pocket receive a retail discount, and financing is available through Wisetack for eligible customers. If insurance is paying for the roof, the payment schedule follows the approved claim. We also install gutters, and can replace them alongside your roof.

How do I know if I need a new roof?
